Most of the time, our sessions are "non-directive and client centered." So in plain terms - it's up to you! You decide your goals and you decide your solutions. Our jobs are to assist you on your journey to a positive and healthy lifestyle, but you decide what that looks like. During our sessions, we will use a variety of interventions to help you reach your goals, such as DBT, CBT, solution focused, and play therapy (just to name a few).
Yes, we do accept some insurance. Those include Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield (Anthem), Cigna, Oxford/Oscar, and United Healthcare. Limitations do apply and not all services are covered.
Sometimes insurance is tricky, and your counselors do not always know beforehand what is covered and not covered. We do our best to inform you if something has changed or if something is just not covered. These things can be unexpected and frustrating for both you and your counselors. Although frustrating, it is your responsibility to talk with your insurance provider in order to fully understand what they will and will not be covered for these sessions. Family and Couples sessions are generally underpaid by your insurance company, therefore, we can not accept insurance for these sessions. We encourage you to talk to your insurance company if you are seeking these services. We can provide you with a superbill so that you can seek reimbursement from the insurance company.
Payment for all sessions is due at time of service. Credit/debit card information must be provided at the time you book your first session to secure your appointment slot and to be kept on file to cover any cancellation fees. Your information is stored in our secure, confidential online platform, where we never actually see the full credit card number.
